Fabulous Hazel!! I tried for years to get them to grow in my garden and when they finally did - I moved!! Wonderful colours!! You must have green fingers!! Fav!!
Pam, thank you for your enthusiasm and fav! It's Ray who has the green fingers and these aquilegia just keep self seeding in the garden - maybe he talks to them?!
Thank you so much everyone for your enthusiastic comments and interesting information. I now know that granny could also have a yellow bonnet and with the two tone ones I found this afternoon see http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/a-few-more/2013-05-15
she could actually have one for every day of the week!
Agree with Judith - a lovely collection and a beautiful composition. Ours aren't out yet. We do have a large yellow spurred one but they're mainly all wild type :)
Thank you very much Gerry for comment and fav.

Richard, thanks - don't think they come in yellow - you could 'breed' them?!
For some reason they just grow rampant in our garden and have been in it for the last 28 years!

Ours are wild type too but I think they are photogenic with a white page as a background!
