running out of time

Yesterday on our walk I saw a whole patch of dandelion clocks but had left my camera indoors. Today they mostly looked like this.

'moments of happiness'
a) a cold North wind this morning but I had wrapped up warm
b) I'm looking forward to Neil cooking again today: spag bol
Oh yes ! another windy & cold day --just think all those little seeds firmly embedding themselves to grow & bloom anew !! we may become an island of Dandelions anon !! LOVELY IMAGE THOUGH Hazel

@beryl

Thank you very much, Beryl. The dandelions flowers are a lovely yellow though and cheery in the spring?

Evocative image, the passage of time and nature - but it's a fine image, it speaks to me, probably more than a full dandelion clock would, lovely though they are! Enjoy your spaghetti! (We're off to a restaurant in Rustington, then a walk, then to see Tina's dad, he's doing OK, so much better than last Sat. when we were very concerned, some improvement each day since. Things are looking up again!

Wonderful perspective and details. There sure are a lot of dandelions there. This is a big year for dandelions here, too.

Very good shot Hazel. And even these have a beauty of their own. It's always the way when you are camera-less!

I like them in this phase. I'm a bit jealous as I've taken dozens of of dandelion clocks this week and they've all been rubbish!

Well Hazel it may not be the shot you set out to achieve but it's a great shot and more original than the whole seed head shots. I agree with @ivan about the passage of time and nature (I couldn't have put it so eloquently myself) Hope the spag bol was up to scratch!
