flowers for the table...........

.........Ray trimmed the bay tree so I brought in some long stalks and arranged them tastefully in a tall glass vase with a little water and pieces of slate in the bottom. The next morning they were all wilting. So it was back to the roses.
Very pretty!

@claireuk

How far away are you?! The centre rose has dropped petals all over my table already so I maybe could not get the others to you in time for you to enjoy them!

Lovely 'country cottage' image, Hazel, very nice soft light. Fav.

@ivan

Thank you Ivan and for the fav. I have used flash deliberately in the past to get this type of effect but this shot, (one of several after I realised it worked well), came about a bit by accident as I haven't yet worked out how to disable the flash on my new camera!! Those disks you have to sit at the computer and read instead of a paper manual are soooo annoying!

Very lovely . great composition and a sweet capture. Fav.
The Dutch language has much similarity with Germany. Grammatical I think our is easier . Even when a Germman speaks Germans we can understand

@pyrrhula

Oh thank you for the comment and fav! I can sometimes understand written Dutch but the pronunciation is the main difficulty and I have nobody to help me!
August 16th, 2013
@quietpurplehaze You`re welcome. I`ve it the same with speaking Germany

Was just reading you don't like usind the disc to read about camera settings etc. I downloaded my handbook and printed it, not that I have the time to read it properly, but you might be able to do this or your camera in the internet as well

@khirsch

Thanks for that, Karin, and I've just printed a page or two from the handbook on the disk - the print is oh so small! I think I'm just going to print what I need but it is annoying not to receive a proper paper booklet.

@quietpurplehaze Oh, good lord, how I agree! Give me an old-fashioned paper manual anytime. And BTW, I was showing my visiting friend my 365 project and she absolutely loved this shot.
