It was still sunny when I came out of the hairdresser's yesterday so I walked a little way along the Itchen. I liked the boat as a focal point for this shot but it was a bit dirty with some stagnant water inside.
Several good things about the concert last night:
1. The ticket price: a fraction of the usual cost.
2. The programme notes: I could understand them.
3. The programme: free.
4. Twice as many ladies as men in the orchestra.
5. The venue: intimate and full of character.
7. The conductor: elegant and very expressive. I'd love to have a try at that but I have no relevant qualifications whatsoever.
My favourite piece was the Corelli. The orchestra, Per Piacere, is non-professional and gives just a very few concerts each year. We plan to go to the next in the church at Lyndhurst.
Thanks for your support for my 'early start' which is on PP.
A perfect evening that didn't cost an arm & leg as so many concerts do these days!!! The little boat looks as though it has just been abandoned .....poor thing!! A beautiful river there Hazel.
That was one of you great day`s I suppose. Being to the hairdresser and have the sun the rest of the day. Could n`t be better .
And then to have a nice walk along this lovely little river
And a perfect last night. You are blessed.

This is at Shawford, not far away. Maybe you live near us?
