coming to greet me

I don't flatter myself that 'my' goose comes only to greet me. But it IS nice to stand for only a minute or two quietly by a tree on the bank with my camera and then to see her appearing, apparently from nowhere, and swimming across the pond towards me with her cohort of ducks following behind.
I googled 'sexing a goose/gander' and. apart from some 'technical' activities in which I do not want to engage, it appears almost impossible to tell just by looking. But I feel she IS a goose!

Thanks and you enjoy the weekend too - I made up my mind not to take pics over the weekend as I have a few to post from my visit to the pond but then when I came down a new flower had opened on a re-flowering orchid and a hyacinth has come out overnight in a gorgeous shade of pink - ho hum!!
