I made a quick trip into the garden before breakfast for the first shot of the week, a lone anemone decorated with delicate frost.
There should be, down by the stream right now, a 'host of golden daffodils' from the huge bag of bulbs Neil gave Ray for his birthday last Sept.
Instead, just a few stalks with almost every last petal eaten, by slugs or/and snails we presume.
This is just one of the reasons (along with the aching back and fingernails engrained with dirt {sorry, earth} which you get) that I don't like gardening.
Fingernails engrained with dirt or being completely covered with paint is a pretty constant happening at our place but all in a good cause. I will never be the gardener Ray is but I enjoy the rewards of his toil. Lovely delicate colour & frosting.
I used to do the painting bit years ago but now seem side tracked by photography, which doesn't hurt your back - unless it's for shots now and then of blue carpets!
Awesome colours and that frosting is beautiful. With you on the gardening thing. Cannot be taking photographs and cycling if gardening. Gardens are for relaxer chairs, sunsets and few! glasses of red, preferably Rioja.
What a lovely shot, we had frost this morning but I decided I really didn't want to crouch down on the cold wet grass to take a frozen daisy. Wish I had, this is super.
So pretty! Looks like it is sugared instead of frost. Seeing as how it is the end of March, I'd rather thing sugar! Beautiful color, and I agree that gardening does hurt the back!

Oooo so it does!
Beryl, how are you?
Thank you - I cheated a bit and used the macro zoom on my camera!
