I took this shot against the light in front of a net curtain with my little Lumix. It's given a sort of high-key effect with the HDR it uses in such situations which it identifies as back-lit. Some friends brought the lovely roses when they came at the week end.
Sunny today, going for swim, meeting a friend for tea and cake this afternoon, Neil cooking Tandoori chicken tonight..............
A wonderful composition Hazel so delicate with the lighting. Fav.I am looking to replace my old faithful handbag Lumix as mine keeps revealing a thin white line on some shots and spoils them. Yours seems wonderful and for the extra is better than getting it repaired.
Wendy, thank you - the new Panasonic Lumix TZ60 also has a viewfinder, but you can probably pick up cheaply one of the two models between that and my TZ25 - Argos clearance online is a good place to look. I think they are just fab little cameras and have learnt how to use mine on full manual.
This is a great effect. Sometimes the results one gets with a basic camera can be really impressive. Sometimes I wonder why I bother with all my DSLR and lenses gear! Fav.
If, by chance you wanted to replace your little Lumix, Argos have good clearance camera offers online from time to time - I got mine for a song!
Chris, yes 'sort-of' is good enough for me!

I've never wanted a DSLR but I am tempted by a CSC but I think it would still be all too complicated carrying around lenses etc etc!
