A flock of starlings line up on the roof of the café at Hengistbury. Each time a party finishes their refreshments, stands up and leaves their table, the starlings swoop down for the leftovers.

Great shot - he's definitely keeping a close eye on a potential snack :) We watched a little group of sparrows do the same thing at a cafe recently. One sat on the plate pecking at half a bun, he dropped big crumbs onto the chair where his friend had a peck, and he dropped more crumbs onto the floor where the rest of the gang were hanging out. They took it in turns to sit in different spots too. Very smart!
