'Une galette' has always been for me a special French cake for a special date in January OR a special French buckwheat pancake. When Neil and Ray came home with the supermarket shop this week I found it is also a French cheese.
@quietpurplehaze Ok, will do but cannot upload anything till at least later tonight when my son gets home. So frustrated but lucky to have him to help me with my computer.
I learn something every day on this list! Particularly from you, Hazel. I've heard of galette, but I always thought it was something sweet. Now I know there are multiple meanings. Great picture too!
Ray bought it in Sainsbury's here in England and I found this about it http://www.cheese.com/galette-lyonnaise/
Darlene, find a piece of cheese in your fridge and take its photo!
Thank you! Most of our cheeses come from the Jura and the Savoie! Will look out for this one.
It's French soft cheese!
