Photo 1206
lost grandeur
Southsea Pier is closed to the public and undergoing renovation.
Taken in colour, cropped and processed into sepia with a bit of added contrast in Picasa.
I did have quite a bit of trouble straightening this photo exactly, because of the slope of the sand and shingle beach in the foreground.

It works well, Hazel and produces an evocative capture. I didn't realise the Pier is being saved in this way.
