the bluebell wood

There are only English bluebells in the woods at Well Manor Farm, not yet colonized by Spanish 'invaders'. English bluebells have flowers just on one side of the stem and sometimes have a graceful 'droop' at the top of the stalk.

My newborn lamb posted yesterday is surely snug in his straw today, unaware that he made it to PP! Thanks!

There is a flock of merino sheep on the farm and the 'head' ram has been named José.......
Lovely picture.

Fabulous shot Hazel. Bluebells always take me back to my childhood. We had a bluebell wood near where I used to live in Yorkshire when I was small.

¡Si, si muy hermosas! I only learnt that fact relatively recently - now what's puzzling me is HOW did those Spanish ones GET here?!

@quietpurplehaze hyenas Dias hazel. migrating birds, Francis drake, package holidaymakers, premier league footballers the possibilities are endless . It is nice though that we have a cosmopolitan set of bluebelles (i always add an 'e' to my bluebelles ..to emphasise the belle / beauty )

I think I'm a bit parochial! Never thought of all those possibilities. I rather like 'bluebelles'! Hope you are doing something nice for Bank Hols!
