I set up the bird feeder (and myself + camera) for some bird shots this morning but I had no luck. So I took shots of a few flowers. Then I went to visit a friend for coffee and took my camera with me.
So this happy bee on a scabious flower was in her garden. (And I still have many shots of roses, peonies, irises, azaleas etc from my recent 'public' garden visits.)
These are lovely flowers and the dof is just right. I was thinking I ought to go back to Wicken with my macro lens to get some better shots of the damsel flies - but I probably wouldn't see any if I did!
@quietpurplehaze Well there were some still on the reeds at one location, and I did get some shots - but had to crop them so much. Having said that, I'd have to get even closer with the macro lens, so they'd probably fly away!!
Phil, I had in fact already cropped this shot tight square and given it a title ( posted here today http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2015-06-08 ) and I'm not really sure why I posted this one in preference. Thanks, as ever, for helpful comments!

You are more skilled than me - I can't get near a damsel or a dragonfly. The bright blue ones along the Itchen at Mottisfont move like Red Arrows!
