bougainvillea by quietpurplehaze

bougainvillea

This was a large and lovely bougainvillea 'tree' in the conservatory at the B&B in Ventnor, IOW.
What a beautiful colour Contrasts so well with the background.

I love bougainvillea but we had to take ours out because it grew like wildfire and broke all the latticework on our patio. Taking it out was deadly too the thorns are lethal.

I did not realise it had thorns. Our wisteria is similar, breaking all the fence it is on.

Aren't they just gorgeous?! I was photographing some of this identical colour only this afternoon as we ate an early dinner with the grandsons at a beautiful park-like restaurant setting. They beauty is irresistible!
