The bluebells in Cornwall appear to be all English ones, no Spanish invaders.
Having 'brought my dad back home' again in 1945, I'm going to post some shots from our last week's trip.
If he could know, I'm sure my dad would be chuffed to learn the interest shown by my 365 friends in his diaries, as he himself tried unsuccessfully to find a publisher back in 1954.
And I've been interested to hear your stories, thank you.
Another lovely close up with lots of detail and colour, Thank you for sharing your dads diary entries with us it was fascinating and informative, so pleased he made it home other wise we could not view your beautiful images Hazel:)
@pcoulson
Peter, thank you so much and, yes, I was part of that mini population explosion after the war, being born a week before Christmas 1946. The story goes that the neighbours worried about my mum putting me out in the pram for fresh air in early 1947!
@quietpurplehaze Big year for you then Hazel, my mum had to wait a little longer as Dad was sent to Palestine until 1948 with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment, hey presto 9 months after his return I arrived :)
