We stopped at Lyme Regis en route home from Plymouth yesterday. The weather was fabulous: bright blue sky, sheep clouds, sunshine, warmth....
It seemed as if the world and his wife was at the seaside: families, couples, babies in prams, dogs so many dogs of all shapes and sizes, and the seagulls making their laughing chatter and swooping around.
We spent a couple of hours there and carried on to collect Jinks from the dogsitters. He had been good for the week - well that's what they always say. Then home to unpack and an evening Indian meal cooked by Neil.
Remember this from my coastal shipping trips around the coast of Great Brittain (Long time ago in the past) . We do have a special name for this on low tide : Liggen op het zaad.
It did - with the speed of light!
We did find a certain greyness in Plymouth - but the weather was also quite grey....
Interesting. How does it translate exactly, Ferry?
