When I returned to find the magic mushrooms, I took the route up the hill and along the road. I didn't fancy the woods - especially the stile I saw at the entrance.
I hadn't realized the length of the bit of route along the narrow road and spent a lot of time flattening myself against the hedge when cars appeared.
Jen, I WAS, definitely! (Stick-like would be good - the diet isn't working that well!) The worst moment was when a car came one way and a larger van the other and I wasn't sure if the driver of the van had seen me. Luckily he had - I shall have to brave the woods next time.
So if we walk along that road we will see an impression in the hedge of Hazels figure? Lol. ( and stress is no good for diets so the added stress won't help with the weight loss either:)😊
Nice composition, the stubble is brown but the trees still have some vibrant greens and then that log building just peeking out. The things you have to risk for your art!
Lovely detail Hazel of every stalk. This looks exactly like our maize fields after cropping, they stay like this all winter & get ploughed in the Spring.
Nice field photo.

John,, thank you. I think the house may be an old barn but I couldn't get close enough to find out.
I'd go later, Pat, and verify whether this stays all winter too - but I don't think I can brave that road again!
Comments & interesting critique worth getting in the hedge for!
