I went to Winchester this morning hoping to find some colours of the rainbow and a stranger's portrait.
Lucky on both counts, I also met my artist friend Don (stranger no. 31** in my portraits) in the High Street. A kiss and hug in greeting, a little chat and then it started to rain so we had to pack up the canvas and the camera respectively.
"You know, Hazel," said Don as we parted company, "we're getting to be street people ourselves."
A really nice pov here to include your friend and his canvas - a familiar scene on there. How lovely for you to meet your new friends rather than to be a stranger.
This is particularly interesting as I visited Winchester for the first time 2 years ago. I recognised the street immediately from Don's easel. What a cheering and encouraging moment you shared!
I love this Hazel. You have captured the artist at work and his painting. I saw people painting when I stayed a few weeks ago. Perhaps he was one of them? Fav
Love it. Our U3A photo session this week covered people photos and I have asked the class to take a photo of people that tells a story. This would be ideal. full marks here Hazel.
