'a room with a view'

These brick kilns aka bottle kilns aka pottery kilns have been restored in situ in Portabello as a tribute to the thriving pottery industry which existed here as early as the 1770s.

The opposite aspect of the apartments has a sea view as they are right on the prom.
Amazing brickwork! Must be a nice place to stay/live in those apartments.

Fascinating things - I am always amazed at the engineering in simpler days that produced perfectly round structures like these.

What a great shape. So good to see them restored.

Are the apartments holiday rental, or privately owned.

@onewing

I think they are privately owned permanent residences - lovely situation!

?????? Love the These brick kilns but not the surrounding area. Often be done. A windmill without the space to catch the wind. Or, a farm(house) without the land it used. Looks to me an amputation.
