I like lichen too, I have taken a few photos of it lately but haven't posted any yet. The lichen here goes so well with the rust.

I wonder what dictates the colour of lichens. Am ashamed to say I know nothing about them...yet!

I know not about the colour but there are 3 levels of lichen, this flat one being the first and the third is bushy lichen, very photogenic, and indicates the cleanest air. I learnt all this on 365 once from another member when I posted a shot of lichen http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2014-02-27

Thank you, Phil. I experimented with the Picture Effect on the a6000 for this, using Clear instead of my usual Standard.
