a poignant touch

In Winchester yesterday we saw the iron railings outside the cathedral covered in beautiful hand-knitted bright poppies.

I did not have my camera with me so Ray lent me his phone. I am sure you regular users of phone cameras will be surprised that in the space of a few minute I managed to 'take' 72 photos.

I have pretty much a blank when it comes to touch screens, iPad included.

I guess a young relative had written this little message of remembrance, the only one among the sea of poppies.

Ray so kindly downloaded and sorted all those photos so I have this one to post.
Very touching image...fav

Very lovely shot, Hazel, and the note is intriguing.

Love this simple message saying all we need to know! Very poignant.
Phone photos are so easy, I would not go back now to a large camera, ideal for my diary type 365 project.

@happypat

I guess phone cameras are OK if you can operate a touch screen - but these screens cause me huge problems which is why I don't like my iPad much. My Sony a6000 is quite light and I cannot imagine ever changing it. Good for sales that we all like different!

@quietpurplehaze Isn’t it just Hazel. Al was telling me all about her cameras today & they sounded intricate to say the least but I know I am limited by using my iPhone, i do miss my DSLR at times! You do wonders with your Sony, each to his own! I’m not that big a fan of touch screens to be honest but can manage them ok. My first Kindle had proper page turners but now touch screen which I think a downward step.

@happypat

I always thought a dslr to be too heavy for me. As for touch screens, the meds I have to take give me a slight tremor in my hands so perhaps that is the problem. We just make the best!

How refreshing that an adult resisted the temptation to "correct" this message. Very poignant and a super shot
