in our garden: catching the early morning sun

When I came down to breakfast on my birthday last year, I found a long, partially wrapped object lying across the seat of my chair.

It proved to be this beautiful copper sunflower, which stands 6 feet tall, a birthday gift from Ray. He had found it in the Art in the Garden Exhibition at Hilliers Arboretum.
