roses and vines

I saw the eclipse of the moon last evening. It was like a slice of water melon hanging in the sky.

My collection of lenses does not include a super telescopic one so I have no photo.

In the middle of the night the moon was again an orb, but still pale pink.

Here’s a compassion rose on our house wall which is a similar colour to last night’s moon and appears to be framed by our vine.

A lovely response to my rose shot, thank you. The rose has been growing on our house back wall for as long as I remember. It has a most beautiful scent. The moon was amazing, a real rosy pink!

Nicely composed, Hazel. Unusually I saw the moon but it was in the middle of the night and I wasn't prepared for taking a photo and getting appropriate kit would have disturbed Diana ... I didn't know about the eclipse. No excuse but making excuses is typical of my appalling attitude to my photography just now. (Again!)

I don't even have the moon-taking kit and I cannot be bothered to buy it just for moons. We saw a clip about the eclipse on the news that very evening. Sorry about the lost phojo - wonder why it is....
