As we walked around the cathedral, there was Miranda in charge of the Deanery Bookstall. We stopped to say hello and then I wondered if she would be amenable to have her photo taken. She was.
Miranda was No. 172 in my stranger portraits so this one is an informal photo. She was sitting bathed in sunlight in front of a dazzling white wall so I asked if she would move into the more subdued doorway of the bookstall.
She was happy with that and I gave her my card to have photos sent to her. I rarely meet my strangers again so I took the opportunity to ask Miranda if she had been happy with her original portrait and write-up. She said indeed she had.
Thanks, Phil. Miranda asked me if I shoot in mono (just out of interest having seen other photographers do that) so that is why I converted one shot to mono. I think she will like it.
Yes,the link is to this same shot of Miranda on Flickr and you are right I could have also put a link to my stranger shot of her on here.
(I try to remember to link back to Flickr shots already posted on Flickr as a friend of mine on that site got his account deleted (no warning, no redress) for not following the rules.)
