'Fall' to me is more evocative of the season than 'autumn'.
This is the last view this year of Ray's acer as the leaves began to fall. The tree is now bare but bizarrely one lonely leaf is still clinging to the tree 4 days after all the others fell.
In the photo; the hedge which Ray planted and lovingly nurtured, the ground cover of slate chippings and the owl of reconstituted marble which he took ages to source in order to find exactly what he wanted.
It is peaceful, Babs, especially when we have the small fountain 'plashing' - it's just near the owl, just out of range of my shot.
