The chubby child in the studio is me - nearly 1 year old.
I know because my mum told me.
I also know because those bits of hair at the front still curl up and annoy me.
It's obvious my mum 'dressed' my hair especially for the school photographer.
And in the middle pic I am wearing a home-made jumper and pinafore.
I always thought of myself as quiet and rather serious (still do I guess).
So I wonder how the photographer got me to smile.
And I find, from a friend who has grandchildren, that the school photographer has not been put out of business by the digital age.
Somewhere I have a similar picture of me, at just about the age of your first shot there, and sitting in the same position. I guess that was standard, professional photographer pose #1 for that age.
Whatever the photog did it worked as he captured nice smiles in all of them.
These are wonderful. And yes, the school photographer comes twice a year, “school pictures” for yearbook and school records and ID badges are in the first month ish, then around April are “Spring Pictures” with a wide choice of backgrounds.
Thank you for all your visits and comments, all appreciated. I've recently found this 'bookmark' effect collage on iPiccy and quite like the 'understated' effect. Happy week ahead, everyone!

It sounds a thriving profession. I really thought the advent of the digital age might have ended it.
