I left Jinks at home this afternoon and took my camera for a walk instead. Three people with their dogs who normally see me with him wanted to know where he was.
I felt lucky to find this robin sitting on the next door neighbour's high hedge. When I got back home I felt mean so went out again with Jinks and without camera. We saw a robin gathering nesting material which just sat and looked at us on a low twig for quite a while. That will teach me.
Wonderful capture of a brilliant little bird, Robin's are so pretty & this one bursting into song is no exception ! Soooo many Fav's, just add mine too.
Has 2 b a fav for me!! Never seen a robin in South Africa, we sang a song about a robin in church, when I was a child. I always wondered what they look like. Fabulous shot!!
It's a pity I can't send you his song too! It's like no other birdsong, quite irregular and quite melodic. They seem to be everywhere singing in the trees just now. I understand that they sing to advertise their territory!

I confess to being a bit overwhelmed!
Thank you - he definitely was singing - I love robins' song but could not describe it to anybody as it's a bit 'asymmetrical'!!
I'm just going to guess why he's your favourite!!!!!!!!
