Pink candles just makes me think of the comedy sketch by Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett featuring 4 candles/fork handles. I'm slightly horrified to find it was first shown on TV in 1976 - or perhaps I should be pleased at the power of my memory.
A pretty capture of colours and reflections. I remember 4 candles/fork handles well it always makes me and hubby chuckle. I didn't realise it was that old. P.S. I have a few shots of 4 candles to remind me occasionally.lol
Did a bit of research and found
"Ruby Horse Chestnut tree is a particularly choice clone of a hybrid horse chestnut, resulting from a cross between the European horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) with white flowers and an eastern North American native (the shrubby Aesculus pavia) with red ones. It is a better landscape plant than either of its parents and should be planted more widely." (Not sure how they come to get 'crossed' probably in a nursery I guess!)
There also seems to be more pink horse chestnut trees about?! And some 'candles' are almost red.
We also mostly have creamy white horse chestnut blossom but there are just a few of these pink ones - shall have to try to find out more.

Here in Hampshire they are in the same places as one would find white horse chestnut trees. But maybe..............
