St George's Day at The Slug and Lettuce in Winchester

We had to leave the car at the garage for new tyres to be fitted so went down town. The Slug and Lettuce had a special event to raise money for the British Legion Poppy Appeal and the manageress had made cupcakes to sell.
(If you're wondering why a restaurant is called The Slug and Lettuce, I've wondered that myself.)
Lovely stuff. You gotta have cake. It's the law!

What a great shot Hazel l loved Winchester when we visited there last year but I don't recall seeing the slug & lettuce, I'm sure I would have remembered that!
