fungus on a tree

Fungi is the theme for photos for my photo group this month but I've had trouble finding any - until, that is, I went to the hairdresser (himself a keen photographer) at the weekend and he directed me to this clump on a tree near the river.
I think I've over-processed the shot trying to bring out any texture in the fungus which, in the flesh, was just a white 'blobby' clump.

Ina and I did get to a wood to day again. We came home with +/- 150 pic.`s To be honest , I try the/new possibilities of the camera so I did several shots of the same fungus.
