My bunch of sunflowers are all now in the compost bin. In this shot, the orange one was fading but this little bee spent ages gathering nectar, flying away in a seemingly dizzy state but then returning again and again for more.
I was sitting by the patio table with a cup of tea and went in to get my little Lumix.
Many thanks for all the comments and favs. This was truly armchair (patiochair) photography as this little honeybee spent ages on this dying sunflower and was dripping with nectar and weighed down with pollen. Just 4 sunflowers in a bunch I bought at that garden gate last week and so many pics from them, including one to print for the kitchen wall.
Wonderful close up. (Question is it 'close up' or 'close-up' I never know when to use the hyphen in English. Looking up the dictionary gives me both versions)
