temptation

Today we met our friends, Bob & Jenny, for lunch. Ray booked the table at a pub recommended to him by one of his rambler friends.

You may have noticed that I have now completed 49 portraits in my Haze's strangers project. I've been hoping to find a slightly unusual subject for number 50 (halfway mark and all that). Please believe me that I was only ever so slightly tempted.

This dear lady is resident in the corner of the Woodmancote pub where we had lunch. Terry, the manager and licensee, told me that she is a theatrical prop imported from America.

Terry runs a pretty unusual pub. The food is good and prices reasonable, entertainment value excellent. See the quirky interior here:
