Wonderful composition here Hazel and great detail. Never had any success with these myself. Love how the bud is purple that then streaks into blue as it opens. Sounds like you have had a great break! fav
I've tried to grow these twice and failed both times. They are one of the few flowers that seem to me to be what I consider a real true blue not the very purple toned colour that passes for blue in many flowers. You've done a beautiful job of capturing their true colour here, I think.
