Cedra by William Pye by quietpurplehaze

Cedra by William Pye

This water sculpture, one of many created by William Pye, stands in Woolbeding Gardens, where once a magnificent cedar grew.

Difficult to give a photographic representation as the water streams slowly and sedately over the structure.

It is only the second sculpture by William Pye that I have been privileged to see, the first being the font in Salisbury Cathedral which we have visited several times.

Jackie, thanks - it seems to be these last-minute 'flashes' of inspiration which are the best.

The selfie was a great way to show the effect of the water flowing over the sculpture.
