Feather on foil

I was at a loss for what to photograph for today so I raided my husband's feather collection that he often uses in his paintings.
I selected a Partridge feather because I like the colors, patterns and design found in the feather. To set it off I placed it on some foil.

Beautiful detail and colors on the feather. I, like jdM, think it may appear nicer on it's own - perhaps with a white background or even black?? It would really show it off better.
