Looks like winter is here to stay, -10 C (17 F) today and as a result the bird feeder has become a very popular place. This morning I saw woodpeckers, grosbeaks, chickadees, blue jays and of course my singing squirrel. Busy place.
For black & white Wednesday.
Thank you for comments and favs on yesterdays photo "Lonely Island" very much appreciated.
What a chubby, lovely fellow he is. Very nice B&W. Can't put my bird feeders out until sure the bears are denned up. Got chewed out by conservation officer last year for the bear that visited our back yard - our fault, bird feeders.
Great capture Kathy !! You can tell he's ready for winter, chubby belly. Nice in black and white. The icicles were beautiful everywhere except on the roads this morning. Fav.
When I saw this in B&W, I instantly wondered if it wasn't for BWW. Harry's smart feather markings make for an excellent b&w subject. Brrr! I see icicles on the feeder. Great picture of your winter company.
@fugitivemoments Thank you for the comment and stopping by Linda, I think our bears are hibernating right now, so no need to worry here.........the spring time is a different story.
Welcome back, Harry. I like this composition and the way there is a light area behind Harry's head. It's been snowing pretty much all day here in Toronto, but so far not settling at all. That will come!
