Looking Back in Time revisited

Upon reexamining some of my previous photos, I selected this previously posted work because I was curious to see how this would translate to black and white as there was very little color to begin with. I liked the subtle variations of black, gray and white in this photo.
This is my second to last photo for black and white February.
If interested check out the color version

Now that's gorgeous! I see you have "painting" as a tag...is it that or layers? I love the juxtaposition of the images...and it look s like it would mean something special to you...

@Weezilou Louise thank you for your comment and fav, it is meaningful to me as this is a photo of Holly (my cat) in front of one of my husband's paintings. At the time I was trying to fuse different images with his paintings, it was a short series that I did starting the week of January 26th this year. Hope you have time to see them, below is the link to the color version.

I remember this in colour and I loved it but it looks great in B&W as well. It brings out different elements of the shot.

black and whit works well on the cat, the raven is a little on the dark side, needs highlights. Still a fav!

I like it even better in black and white (although the colored version is beautiful too!) because it's so moody this way- a fitting genre for a big black raven!
