N'Ice Shack by radiogirl

N'Ice Shack

This is the first fish hut to come off the ice this winter. The weather has been most unusual this year, snowing one day and raining the next. The huts normally stay on the ice until the end of March!

Thanks so much for your comments and favs, Happy Friday everyone!
Please tell me what is a use of that Shack on ice ?

@gosia Every year when the lake freezes over people pull shacks like this onto the surface of the frozen lake. The temperature must be well below 0 C for 20 days and the ice should be over a foot in thickness. Actually thick enough to drive a vehicle onto the surface of the lake. To ice fish you cut a hole in the surface of the lake, put your fish hut over the hole, put your fishing line in and then you wait until the fish bite!

Interesting information. I notice that the shed is on skis, I presume that is so that it's easy to move.

That's the smallest man cave I've ever seen.

Like that he's even named his ice fishing shack - cute! Worrisome that they're bringing them in already, though. This whole climate thing is worrisome!! Great clear shot though.

Clever name- I hope the fisherman had a few good days of fishing before the lake started to thaw. N'ice shot!
