I thought I was going to stop posting "thankful" photos yesterday, but I admit I'm thankful to be able to see sights like this and have my camera close by.

@thewatersphotos Thank you Gary. We learned at a photo shoot with the Photo club (and you may know this already) that lowering the exposure compensation brings out the colors in the sunset. Brown Mountain is east of NC181 in the Pisgah National Forest in Burke (Morganton)/Caldwell (Lenoir) counties.

@thewatersphotos Gary, it's a pretty good way. I live in Morganton and it's a little over 50 miles from Asheville and the overlook is probably another 15-20 miles northwest of here.
