Gosh, everyone thank you very much. Those who guessed or wondered, it was cream cheese icing and a bit thick for my taste. The recipe is actually called Gingerbread Cookie Bars and I found it on Pinterest or Taste of Home. I made these and another kind of bars, and had some left over which I've been indulging in, much to the dispair of my stomach which says they are too rich. I wish I could send some to each one of you.
