What a wonderful scene - you have caught the character of this shed so perfectly. It's a little tilted, but still does a job!
So sorry I have not issued your challenge until tonight.
How would you like the give a try at selective focus with both the foreground and background out of focus but your subject in perfect focus.
This can work in a couple of ways. Your can have a blurry foreground such as leaves or branches making a natural frame for your subject with a very large aperture so that the background is also out of focus.
Or - you can have a field of tulips, wheat, or other large expanse of vegetation, and again focus on one individual with a wide open aperture.
I guess you can figure this out on your own!! This will work with B&W as well if you want to continue with the Flash of Red challenge.
@kph129 That bale seems to be pretty dry looking despite the rains we've had lately. Thanks for viewing and commenting. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. Unfortunately there are a lot of these run down buildings and sheds and barns around here. You'll be seeing more. @pusspup You're so right about that Wylie. Thank you. @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks Jackie. I guess it's still doing the minimal. @tosee Thanks Tom. I really get tired of coming up with titles, so just thought I'd name it by the theme and day. @tunia Thank you Tunia. I appreciate your comments. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. I guess it's still in use, as the bale looks fairly new. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. I think a lot of the old sheds are just left to "die" when the people who used them regularly no longer live there or don't have the same need for them. @kwind Thank you Kim. @mzzhope thank you Hope. It's on private property, so I was worried about taking photos of it. But it's wide open to the public and I was on the road, not on the property. @farmreporter Thank you Wendy for your comments and for the challenge. I will get to work on it.
