Kathy, we're get pushed partners this week. You haven't done much black and white in the last few months since February. How about something in B&W on the theme of Freedom (interpret as you wish)? Since yesterday was 4th of July, and I'm usually up in Wisconsin at what we call "Freedom Festival" it's on my mind.

Thanks to all of you for the wonderful comment. This was one of those days when the photos didn't turn out as planned, so had to do something to salvage them. Hence the processing. Peaches in syrup would have been nice. I didn't make a pie. I was hoping to make a frozen dessert and I did. But I should have put sugar in it. Technically I guess I made granita. Icier and grittier than sorbet which I was shooting for. It's still early in the peach season here, so I will have to get more. I do like peaches...a lot!

@mcsiegle Mary I will do my best to meet your challenge.

i love peaches in syrup; if i freeze it i just cut them up in quarters, put them in freezer ziplocks and sprinkle some brown sugar; then i can have them anytime until the next season. nice processing.
