Get Pushed Week 420
My Get Pushed partner challenged me to try a still life. She added a web page with some additional information about shooting still life photography and there was a type called "found still life". I saw this in a garden and shot it. I thought that bright pop of yellow was perfect as the still life subject.
@tdaug80 I hope this will work for a found still life. Thank you for the challenge. It was interesting to do as that article suggested. "when you are walking down your favorite mountain trail and run across a fallen leaf sitting on a particularly attractive rock, that’s a still life, too. If you photograph it as is, without making any adjustments, it’s a found still life."
@grammyn Thank you Katy. It, of course, was the yellow that caught my eye. @cocobella Thank you Corinne. Yes, the yellow jumped right out. @joemuli Thank you Joe. A lot of vegetation in this spot. @jamibann Thank you Issi. @pusspup Thank you Wylie. There's more than ivy that needs to be pulled out. I've let this garden get overrun. @wakelys Thanks so much Susan. @tdaug80 Thank you. @thewatersphotos I think some of the problem here is the heat and the water. We've had a lot of rain with the frequent thunderstorms. Keeps everything very humid. @jb030958 Thank you Jennie. It was an interesting concept that I'd not heard defined before. @tunia Yes, we've had frequent thunderstorms recently. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. Yes, I think they are lovely.
I think it was this year that one of the weeks in Flash of Red February was still life and this was one of the options- or maybe it was last year. I've been doing them too long! Very nice- the yellow does what you intended it to do. Nice shot!
@cocobella Thank you Corinne. Yes, the yellow jumped right out. @joemuli Thank you Joe. A lot of vegetation in this spot.
