These are leaves from a shrub that is next to a set of steps from the sidewalk to the front walk of a house where I deliver meals. I like the deeply ridged leaves and white flowers in the early spring. I saw these leaves on the ground when I left the house yesterday and those little papers that hold chocolates (think Whitman's Sampler boxes) came to mind. They are leaves from a
Popcorn Viburnum I believe.
It took me a minute to figure out your title but you are so right! There is some kind of plant that smells like chocolate I was wondering if this is that plant Beautiful contrast of brown against the greens. Well spotted
did you just say chocolate? oh, darn, i would have to re-start my resolution to not eat chocolate for a week. hmmm....chocolate. yum. aces on the shot!
Definite resemblance to the little paper that holds chocolates. I wouldn’t have noticed it had you not said but now since you did, I can definitely see it. it’s a beautiful shot.
Thank you so much everyone. I glad you didn't think I was crazy when I said the leaves reminded me of those little cups the chocolates come in.
