Seeing the lines of cars going for miles, hoping for food in Texas was just heartbreaking. It does make us all realize how lucky we are to have food in our pantries.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks Jackie. It is full. I need to use some of it or it will be out of date before I know it. @jb030958 Yes indeed. When I want something sweet and don't have anything, graham crackers always hit the spot. @linnypinny Thank you Lin. And thanks for the follow, too. @wakelys Thank you Susan. @tunia thank you Tunia. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. I think your wife and I have several things in common. And I also wish the rest of my life was so well organized. @grammyn Thank you Katy. It's in a hallway next to a door jamb, so hard to get a good angle. @olivetreeann Thanks Ann. @summerfield Oh my Vikki. I have my passport, so I can be on call. But the organization is not typical for me. @taffy I road past a place in my town where food distribution occurs one night. They had spaced out parking, since it was after Covid restrictions had started, but cars were backed out into the road. It brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me that I need to take some food or $$ to the local food bank. @kjarn It is full. I don't really like to go to the grocery store so I try to have things at hand to make something if I want to. @pusspup It looks better in this photo than it really is. I have to approach it very carefully or things will fall out. @jamibann Thanks Issi. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. I'm blessed and I like to eat. @craftymeg Thank you. 2 Ikea cabinets stacked. @thewatersphotos Thank you Gary. I'm glad I could do that for you. Well all know things we're thankful for but don't always declare them.
@randystreat Giving to food banks is such an important thing to do -- it made me smile to read your comment. Our condo building is kicking off an online food drive for the Chicago Food Depository. They feed millions of people a year and donations primarily go to food. Thousands volunteer there. It's really impressive. I feel helpless most of the time, so it feels good to be starting this drive and knowing there will be tangible benefits to people in need.
