After a night of hard rain, I left this morning to go to an appointment armed with raincoat and considering an umbrella. I got outside and saw that the wind was blowing too hard for the umbrella and blowing the clouds away so that the sky was blue and the sun was bright. When I looked across the street I saw the red leaves on the tree in the field and the lovely mountains in the distance.

It certainly did have that "washed clean" look that happens sometimes during a hard rain. But you all are correct. It was the pop of red, then the clouds on the mountains that caught my eye.
