Let's just read today

Borrowed this from the e-library to read for book club and finished this afternoon.
This is a terrific composition, Kathy!

Lovely set-up! I hope you enjoyed it. I had a whole bunch of things I wanted to do today but I ended up spending hours on the phone catching up with a dear friend- a day well-spent!

@randystreat Well this one was worth the force. I understand the feeling though. Sometimes it gets tough to think of something interesting to shoot!

unputdownable read, wasn't it? it makes my blood boil whenever i read something like this, cheating innocent children of their lives, or playing god over their fates. nice set up. aces!

Very nice still life that would work perfectly for the purple day of the rainbow.

Oh, a colour kindle?! Mine is only black and white. Never actually knew you could get it in colour. Lovely shot.

Thank you for the comments and views. The book was an interesting read, fiction based on fact. The biggest complaint I had about it was it ended a bit abruptly. I liked that the author explained the history behind the premise of the book and gave links for further reading.

@digitalrn The best thing is you can check them out any day and any time.
@summerfield Yes. It's hard to believe it happened but also that some good came out of it too.
@kjarn Thanks. Foster Grants from the grocery store.
@jamibann Well, this is a Samsung tablet. I do have a Kindle app on it, but this is a library app called Libby.
@s4sayer The needlepoint foot stool was done by my grandmother.

Great shot. Nice invention to read books when you eye`s are less.

Would you read anything more by this author? I'm currently reading a book by John Grisham about coal mining in the Appalachians which is very sobering...

@pyrrhula I like the tablet Ferry, but harder to hold to read in bed (which I like to do before I go to sleep).
@will_wooderson I was surprised that I had already read one book by Lisa Wingate. I would probably read more, but not right now. Got other books in line to be read first. I like John Grisham and have read quite a few books by him but haven't read Gray Mountain, which I assume is the book you are talking about. The coal mining areas in Kentucky and West Virginia as well as Pennsylvania in the US are interesting to go to as well as read about.
