Read 'n Rock

A snapshot of my day so far. Book for Book Club next week. Non-fiction, so a bit of a slow read for me. And music makes everything better.
Nicely composed

That's that book you were describing in your comment on my album cover post--right? I'll have to see if my library has it. I, too, like to have music going while doing other things.Classic Rock music channel, eh?

The more I look at this the more I realize it's really a crap focus. UCM - unintentional camera movement! But thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment with positive statements.
@julie Thank you.
@grammyn You're so kind. It was a good day for this but didn't get as much read as I'd hoped. Too many interferences.
@mcsiegle Yes, it the book that I mentioned. It's on Libby, but not many copies. Classic Rock is my genre of choice. The louder the better, especially in the car. What you say? Can I hear now? Not as well as I used to.
@pyrrhula Thanks Ferry. My knitting is right beside me. I couldn't concentrate on both to do them at the same time.
@joemuli Thanks Joey. You're very kind.
@thewatersphotos Thanks for the supportive comment Yes, a song I don't really remember - "Boris the Spider"
@kjarn Yes this is slow going and is talking about caste systems. She is comparing how people in the US are living, and have been since colonial times, in a caste system. The author makes some interesting points. So slower still to take it all in all to ruminate on.
@jamibann Thank you Issi. Very kind of you to say so.

I don't think you moved- I think the camera focused on your rocking chair. It is an interesting snapshot and because of the pov, you feel like you're right in the picture.

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann.

What's the book? Its hard when the book gets dry/slow/boring - hopefully it will get better

Looks like a nice easy going day to me. I love the throw on your rocking chair! Guessing you made it.

@catcarter19 The book is "Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents" by Isabel Wilkerson. It's non-fiction and very thought provoking, so I could read only bites at a time. I did finish it the 14th.
@jb030958 Thank you Jennie. My mother made that afghan before I was born. I treasure it because I always liked it. I need to do a little maintenance on it because some of the squares are coming loose.
