@grammyn Thank you Katy. The marbles were collected by my husband and supposedly were civil war era. I think he found them at antique stores. He like to dig around places like that. @joemuli Thanks Joey. They actually are smooth to the touch. @summerfield No chocolate at my house. I don't eat chocolate but once in less than a blue moon. I might have it here if you came to visit. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. @shutterbug49 Thanks Debbie. @kjarn Thanks Kathy. @wakelys Thank you Sue. @pusspup They are different but fun to show and talk about. @jamibann Thanks Issi. @will_wooderson I guess they are fairly sturdy. They've lasted this long and are still in good shape @tunia Thanks Tunia. I think they are Civil War era. @craftymeg They are old Margaret. My husband liked picking up things like this so I have a number of his "treasures" sitting around.
I have a few clay ones that used to belong to my dad and uncles among the shiny glass ones I also have. But none are a beautifully decorated as these. Just plain. Cool way to fill the frame!
Those are soooooo cool - clay marbles from the Civil War era? What an amazing collection - I love marbles have a small collection but no clay ones, now I want some lol
@catcarter19 If I run across anymore I'll let you know. I know they are advertised on line, mostly on Etsy. Thank you very much. My husband and his "stuff."
