Get Pushed Challenge 489
My get-pushed challenge partner challenged me to go out (or stay in) and photograph any subject as long as your image includes a light source and of course using manual mode to set your camera’s exposure settings.
I thought this might be a great birthday card for my niece whose birthday is next week. I played a lot with the angle and the shutter speed, actually all the settings in the exposure triangle. I even changed lenses so I could get closer to have the little plastic "happy birthday" decoration show up.
@farmreporter What fun I had doing this Wendy. It is totally SOOC and completely manual except for the white balance, which I kept in auto because the coloration on the photo wasn't correct otherwise. Thank you. Hope you like this.
It turned out beautifully! I’m certain your niece will love this homemade birthday card! You got the angle right and the lighting is fabulous. I especially like the little happy birthday decoration.
@corinnec Thank you so much Corinne. @summerfield Sorry to tempt you Vikki. Only grocery store cupcakes since you can't make just one or three for that matter. Thank you. @grammyn I appreciate your comments Katy. Too tired tonight to dig out the stuff to make the card. Will make it in the morning. @cocobella Thank you very much Corinne. @farmreporter So glad you like it Wendy. Thanks again for the push. @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. One little birthday candle and some mini lights I bought last Christmas.
@kjarn Thank you Kathy. I decided just to post this on her FB page. I don't think it would look that great printed on a card. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. @wakelys Thank you Susan. I was pretty amazed at how much light that birthday candle put out. @pusspup Thank you Wylie. As I don't have the best printer in the world I decided to use another card with the gift and post this on her FB page on the day. @digitalrn Thank you Rick. They are pretty good for grocery store cupcakes. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret. I need to print it using a better printer than the one I have. I'll post it digitally on my great niece's Facebook page. @bkbinthecity Thank you very much Brian.
Really well done, Kathy!
A FAV!
