Get Pushed Challenge #445
My get pushed partner this week said "I'd like you, for your get pushed this week, to find some of your clutter and do a still live in the style of an old master painting ( if that doesn't appeal just do a still life with the items)". The light was particularly challenging. Too bright with the shades open, too dark with them closed. The background was tough too. I had to deal with that in photoshop, and didn't do that well. I did enjoy digging around the stuff to see what I could use that I hadn't used before.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I hope this is ok. I really couldn't get it together to do this photo. It was challenging to do for some reason. Thanks for the challenge. Hope we do it again (challenge each other).
I think you did a great job Kathy! Yes, with a little more cloning you could get that white block out of the background but it's not absolutely necessary- the arrangement in the front does a nice job of holding your interest. Very pretty!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you and He. I appreciate it. @suez1e Thank you. @linnypinny Thank you. @jernst1779 Thank you. This is china that my husband brought back from England for his mother when he was stationed there in the early 70's. @grammyn Thank you very much Katy. @kjarn Thank you Kathy. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. @olivetreeann I fiddled with the background for awhile. I didn't want to lose the glow of the candle flames and that's what happened when I tried to change it. Thank you. @thewatersphotos Thank you so much Gary. @aikiuser Thank you Jenn. @mona65 Thank you. The research I did talked about the lighting. I'm glad you think I got it in the photo. @wakelys Thank you Susan. As Jackie said, just some old junk I had lying around the house. @jb030958 Thank you. I believe it's Royal Doulton. My husband bought it in England and gave it to his mother while he was in the service. @tosee Thank you Tom. @haskar Thank you Hannah.
